Virginia Peninsula Community College is committed to the success of our students and understands that challenges may occur as students pursue their academic goals. This can include financial emergencies or food and 住房 needs. If you are in need of immediate help, please complete the Student Emergency Fund Request form. Student Emergency Funds

If you are a student at Virginia Peninsula and need immediate assistance, Virginia Peninsula can offer up to $250 to help meet an emergency. 点击这里 to complete the form. You will need to provide documentation of the need---a bill that describes the charges-- and, if you are in good standing, the Foundation can process a check within 48 hours. Checks can be picked up on the Hampton Campus or will be mailed to you to the address on your form.

During the Spring, Summer and Fall semesters the Hampton Campus Food Pantry will be open Mondays - 9 a.m. 到下午12:30.m.; Tuesdays 1 to 3:30 p.m.; Wednesdays – 2:30 to 4 p.m. and Thursdays – 9 a.m. 到2点.m. and closed on Fridays. The Historic Triangle Pantry is open Monday – Friday from 8 am. 到5点.m. Both food pantries will close for scheduled holidays/campus closures as indicated on Academic Calendars at http://www.vpcc.edu/academics/calendars/.

The 护理团队 offers a Pop-Up Clothes Closet on the Hampton Campus in the fall and spring semesters. Men's, women's, and children's clothing is available. 一切免费. Students are notified of these events by email.

单站 connects students to resources and benefits that may help remove some of the barriers to success. Resources include:

  • Benefits Screening to learn whether you qualify for federal and state benefits, such as food and nutrition programs (SNAP, WIC), health insurance, utility assistance and more.
  • Health Care Enrollment
  • Legal Counseling
  • Financial Counseling
  • Referrals- Connect to on campus and off campus resources

How to get started

Complete the easy to use online screening tool to help identify what benefits you may be eligible to receive, 单站 Screener. Once you complete the screening, a 单站 staff member will contact you and assist you with accessing these resources at no cost to you.
